WHAT IS A
home inspection
A home inspection is a visual, non-invasive examination of the property from top to bottom. This includes all of the main components of a house: roof, exterior, interior, attic, crawlspace/basement, plumbing, electrical, ventilation, & insulation. The inspection is a snapshot showing the condition of the home at the time of inspection

WHAT ISN'T INCLUDED IN A
home inspection
Inspectors are not able to take apart equipment, put holes in walls, or do anything invasive that would damage the property. Because of this, underground pipes and anything in walls are not inspected. Also, there are certain things inspectors are not required to inspect. Some of these items include lawn sprinkler systems, hot tubs, swimming pools, central vacuum systems, alarm systems, and code compliance.

The inspector will provide a written report of the findings. This is for your information. As a buyer, this report will help you understand the health of the home and give you the knowledge needed to make informed decisions about your purchase.

There are many misconceptions as to what the inspection covers. A great way to understand what is and is not covered is to read over our Pre-inspection Agreement.
